About Me
Personal Passions
A personal passion of mine is helping others and surrounding myself with family and friends. I have alwasy had a skill of understanding people and using that to help them. I find the most joy comes from doing something for someone else. I am very passionate when it comes to my family and friends. My family has always been my biggest supporters and continue to support me in everything that I do.
Connecting my need to help others to a business standpoint is why I chose DMT as my major. I have a passion for all things aesthetic and add that with helping others, DMT jobs do just that. I want to be able to take a vision and put it out there to help my audience. This is mainly why I would like to pursue a job in social media marketing within a beauty company. The beauty standards these days are better than what they used to be, but still not great. I want to help change the beauty standard and help whoever needs it.
Overcoming Challenges
Growing up I was very quiet, but as an adult I have grown to be very outgoing and social. Being an introvert was always a struggle for me because I had things that I wanted to say, but always felt like they didn't need to be said. I felt like I had more potential than what I was giving personality-wise, which made me feel like I came up short in comparison to other people.
Sometime early in high school, I made friends with this girl in my grade who was very outgoing and didn't care what other people thought because it didn't matter. She taught me to care less about what other people thought of me and just be myself regardless of anyone else. This pushed me to be more of myself and not hold back my personality.
I can't say that I don't resort back to my old ways when I am uncomofrtable or feel like someone is judging me, but I have grown so much and learned to love my personality. I also learned the important lesson of surrounding yourself with the people that will value what you have to offer. This is probably why I value my family so much and my close circle of friends.
